MTN Nigeria, Chevron and 12 other corporate and multinational companies have been invited to participate in the second edition of the Corporate Soccer Championship scheduled to hold at the Campos Mini Stadium on November 22 and 23.
According to the chief executive officer, Corporate Soccer Nigeria, Onome Obruthe ,the championship which is being organized as a way of fostering cordial relationship among corporate bodies in the country and to promote business will see the overall winner representing the country in Ghana .
The winner will take on the winner of the Ghana version of the Corporate Soccer Ghana at Lizzy Sports Centre in December.According to the chief executive officer, Corporate Soccer Nigeria, Onome Obruthe ,the championship which is being organized as a way of fostering cordial relationship among corporate bodies in the country and to promote business will see the overall winner representing the country in Ghana .
Obruthe said all necessary arrangements are being put in place to ensure a hitch-free championship, adding that the championship will go a long way in helping in the development of the game of football.
The invited corporate bodies are; Chevron, Banwo and Ighodalo, Eko Support, UBA, Guinness, Exxon Mobil, Brilla Fm.
Others include Xodus Group, Etisalat, Total and Ministry of Justice.
He thus informed that out of the 14 companies invited, eight will eventually participate at the championship which will be full of fun and entertainment .
''This championship is aimed at promoting healthy rivalry and foster cordial relationship among corporate bodies in the country and for their effort, the winner will be in Ghana for an international corporate soccer game against the winner of the Ghana version of the championship," he said.
