Euro Prius Gets Updated for 2015, Prius v to Follow

How exciting! The European version of Toyota’s Prius v has gotten a minor update for 2015.
This fuel-sipping station wagon gets warmed-over styling, new color choices and revised equipment.
Up front it’s graced with a reworked front end that’s punctuated with LED headlamps. It also gains a glossy black lower trapezoidal section and tweaked bumpers.

New license-plate trim, updated tail lamps and a reworked bumper with an integrated diffuser round out the car’s hind quarters.
As for colors, Dark Sherry metallic and Attitude Black mica are two new hues on the Prius palate.
Unique silver trim dresses up the interior, as do chrome-trimmed door handles and a standard 4.2-inch information screen.
Additionally, the car’s ride and handling have supposedly been fine tuned, plus additional sound deadening has been applied to keep unwanted ruckus at bay.

Beyond all of this the Prius+ powertrain now meets Euro6 emissions standards. Additional details about this spacious hybrid vehicle will be released closer to its on-sale date, which is the first quarter of next year. We reached out to a U.S. Toyota spokesman to find out if any of these changes will apply to the American Prius v. Responding via e-mail he said they have “nothing to announce yet.”
