Major Autos Expected at 16th Abuja International Motor Fair


Reputable companies in both the domestic and global automotive industry are preparing to showcase their products at the Eagle Square, venue of the 16th edition of the Abuja International Motor Fair.
According to the organisers of the event, “Virtually all the leading names in the industry in Nigeria as well as overseas have booked stands to showcase the best in the sector at the event.”
They are expected to exhibit the best and the latest products and demonstrate their willingness to function in the emerging Nigeria automotive market as stipulated in the nation’s new auto policy.
An official of one of the companies said the fair was a strategic platform for them to demonstrate to Nigerians and the rest of the world that they were ready to be strong contenders in the emerging automotive sector, which offered vista of opportunities with its abundant potentials.

“So, my company being a proactive one will be there because it is a forum to meet our target market in their large numbers. We are determined to show to our patrons and potential ones that we are ready and capable of meeting their expectations and demands.”
The Chairman of the organising committee of the event, Mr. Ifeanyichukwu Agwu said the event will hold from October 22-30 at the Eagle Square, Abuja. He commended the high interest of the reputable automotive companies.
He noted that it would provide a platform for all segments of the automotive sector to showcase their best and latest products and thereby fast-track the development of the sector in Nigeria.
The committee further revealed that more companies in the oil lube sector, spare parts and accessories, security and financials were almost finalising their participation. “Almost all the well known names are participating and a lot of foreign companies are coming too.”
He said thecompanies had resolved to keep faith with their potential and existing customers as they had packaged series of offers ranging from budget cars to good pricing, special fair rebates and promotions, responsive customer care services and lots of supporting benefits for their customers so as to keep on driving the car of their dream. All these they promised to unveiled at the show ground,” Agwu said.

He said, “in addition to display of cars, visitors will be thrilled with live actions.  They will see, hear, smell and feel the power and performance of automobiles. There will be games, gift splash and many more.
This year’s show is not all about cars, as more than 90 per cent of stakeholders in the automobile industry along with trade visitors are expected at the prestigious motor show.”
He said his cars were all over the country and that they were going to Ghana with the Sixth franchise and under the  Coscharis Group.
