FG Pledges to Halt Medical Tourism, Pleads with Unions

The federal government has pledged that it is more committed to ensuring that the spending of billions of dollars  by Nigerians on medical tourism abroad is halted.
Supervising Minister of Health, Khaliru Alhassan on Monday disclosed that government will take this seriously, adding that medical tourism is one of his top priorities as he assured that he will fight it to a standstill in Nigeria.

To this end, Alhassan said that the Federal Government  will immediately increase the manpower and also make available modernized and state-of- the- art technological equipments to tertiary hospitals in country.
