Globacom, in partnership with four partner banks, First Bank, Ecobank, Stanbic IBTC and Zenith bank recently moved its on-going Glo Xchange Town Hall orientation programme to five more cities in the country.
The meetings held at Top Rank Hotel, Onitsha; Maxin Lotus Hotel, Effurun Warri; Tahir Guest Palace, Kano; Nondon Hotel, Enugu, and Spices Eatery/Event Centre , Abeokuta.
According to the Head of Mobile Money Department in Globacom, Mr. Esaie Diei, the event took place in all the five different locations around the country simultaneously. He also disclosed that the meetings are open to individuals and registered businesses.
“Anybody who wants to join Glo Xchange Network and learn how to make more money in the Mobile Money Revolution is free to attend the town hall meetings in any of the cities”, Diei said.
The purpose of the town hall meetings is to create awareness and give an orientation to those who wish to know more about mobile money and how to operate the Glo Xchange network business. It will also give prospective agents the opportunity to ask questions and sign up as Glo Xchange agents immediately.
So far, the Town Hall meetings have been held in several other locations including Ibadan, Benin, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ikeja and Lekki in Lagos, with thousands of excited participants taking part.
During the meeting in Ikeja on Saturday, September 6, the prospective agents who attended praised Globacom for the mobile money super agent platform, saying that mobile money would make business transactions very easy and that Glo Xchange would improve the earnings of Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneurs (SMEs) in the country.
Globacom, in collaboration with Mobile Money Operators, also said the agents could start the business with as little as N30,000 and earn up to twice their investment as commission monthly, depending on their volume of transactions.
