Chelsea’s No.1 goalkeeper in the 2014/2015 season, Thibaut Courtois, has signed a new five-year deal with the London club.
The club made this known via its official website on Thursday.
Speaking on his new deal, Courtois said; “I’m very happy with this new deal, it’s really nice to have signed this new contract for five years.
“My future was already sorted but it’s nice to know I’m going to be here for another five years and now I can just concentrate on playing games”.
The 22-year-old Belgian international replaced Petr Cech as the Blues’ No.1 goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge, and has so far been very instrumental in the clubs performance this season.
He joined the Blues from Genk in 2011 and returned this summer having spent the previous three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid, where he lifted both the La Liga and Europa League titles.
