5 Ways to “Trick” your Customer into Buying

Written by: Christina Mayer

It isn't enough for any website marketer to attract viewers and “window shop” at their sites. All they need to do as put up a little “trick” so that customers will be enticed to buy their products.
So at last, you have swarms of traffic under your website. You got tremendous amounts of hungry potential customers, looking at your products and services. You can finally smell the beautiful aroma of success and profits, but there is a problem. Your traffic is just browsing your products. They are just ogling at your products list. After 5 minutes or so, you see that those viewer numbers slowly decreasing. You just stared at your analytics, jaw opened.

Persuading your possible customers to buy your products is as hard as recruiting a stranger for your company. It is pretty obvious that traffic is the important part of a website. Dragging them in front of your site, showing them items that can spark up their interest, but enticing them to actually purchase something is another story. Viewing a random website might be achievable by any other websites, but attracting your viewers to your “purchasing page” is a pain in the neck.

It isn’t enough for any website marketer to attract viewers and “window shop” at their sites. All they need to do as put up a little “trick” so that customers will be enticed to buy their products.

Here are 5 ways to actually “trick” your customers into buying or purchasing your product.

1.       Give out discounts and coupons – Of course, who doesn’t want to save as much as $2 on that dress? How can anybody reject the opportunity to get 1 additional bag of chips when you buy 4 bags at one purchase? These are usual coupon entries that can engage users into buying your products.

Tip : If you really want to maximize your website. You could get users to subscribe to your website for them to receive discount coupons for your products.

2.       Samplers – Free samples are great for introducing your new product to your customers. For example, once a customer purchases a bottle of shampoo, you could sneak in some vials of your newest perfume. This is perfect especially when you have initial loyal customers that could possibly share your products to their friends, multiplying your possible customers.

3.       Online raffles – Customers love testing their luck to a higher level. As website marketers, attaching raffle tickets to certain products are great attention magnets. The greater prizes you want to raffle out, the greater chances that more people will buy your product.

4.       Make a good sneak peak – Just like what Apple did to their 9.9.2014 product launches, any website marketer’s products can adapt to this kind of strategy. You may first flaunt its benefits (e.g. perfumes could last 20% longer, dog food contains 40% less sodium, etc) while releasing sneak peak images of your product. This will cause a great hype (and a little bit of excitement) to your viewers.

5.       Do a bit of charity – Customers are also touched in the heart (and enticed to purchase things) when they see some of your proceeds will go to certain charities. Buying things that give to charities are one of few ways where customers feel good about themselves.  Besides, a little 2% isn’t that big enough to get you bankrupted. A little charity might also bring good karma on your business.

These tips are not actually “tricks” but they surefire your opportunities in selling.

Add these things plus a good business talk can 100% guarantee your business into selling your products to your ever loyal customers create that massive traffic for your site.
